Swimming Song
Let’s go swimming; it’s so much fun
to play in the water with everyone
let’s go swimming; it’s really fun to do
It’s true!We can swim on our backs
Swim on our sides
Paddle all around
Make a splash so high
We can swim at the pool
or swim in the sea
And you can really have a great time;
just wait and see
what you can do… oh yeah!

Gone Fishin’

Have you ever gone fishin’
on a warm summers day?

Have you ever seen the fishies
just a playin’ in the bay?

With their hands in their pockets
and the pockets in their pants,

Have you ever seen the fishies
do the hootchi-kootchie dance?
(wiggle your whole body like a fish)

Dance to Your Daddy Baby Bounce

Dance to your daddy, my little laddie/lady
Dance to your daddy, my little lamb
You shall get a fishy
On a little dishy
You shall get a fishy
When the boat comes in
Dance to your daddy, my little laddie
Dance to your daddy, my little lamb

Baby Shark

Baby shark,
Doot-doo, doot-doo-doo-doo
Baby shark,
Doot-doo, doot-doo-doo-doo
Baby shark,
Doot-doo, doot-doo-doo-doo
Baby Shark!

Mommy Shark…
Daddy shark…
Grandma shark…
Going swimming…
See a shark…
Swimming fast…
Safe at last…
Bye-bye shark…

The Swimming Song

I went for a walk and the walk was cool.
I saw some people in the swimming pool.
They swam to the right, swam to the left.
These are the things that they did best.
They backstroked, they backstroked, they backstroked until they . . .

Repeat verse, replacing backstroked with:

They doggie paddled, breast stroked, snorkeled, dove, and towel dried.

Went for a walk and the walk was cool.
Nobody left in the swimming pool.
They walked to the right, they walked to the left.
But these were the things that they did best.
They walked, they walked, they walked until they . . .
Went home of course.

We hope to see you at storytime!
